FLINT, Mich. – Last night’s storms left several trees and brush down throughout the city. As you begin your clean-up, remember that Flint’s curbside brush and compost collection starts Monday, April 1, 2025.
Yard Waste Collection Info:
Yard waste collection runs April 1 – November 30, 2025 and is collected on your regular trash day by a separate truck. Use paper compost bags or open containers (max 32 gallons, under 50 lbs.). Place materials at the curb by 7 a.m., 10 feet away from your trash. Let’s keep our city clean and safe together!
What’s Accepted:
-Grass clippings
-Leaves
-Shrubs
-Brush trimmings (under 6” diameter & less than 4 ft long)
What’s Not Accepted:
-Sod
-Pet waste
-Dirt, rocks, trash
-Root balls, large branches, plastic
