The City of Flint is still working to resolve Tuesday’s incident where a large water transmission line adjacent to Dort Highway broke, resulting in a water main break on Dupont Road. The City can report that the main break has been repaired and the line is being re-pressurized today. Water system pressures have been stable since the main break was contained late Tuesday.
Utilities Administrator Michael Glasgow says, “the first set of bacteria testing results from Wednesday’s sampling were clean, and the second set of results collected yesterday will be official this afternoon. Based on results of bacteria testing and the chlorine residual monitoring, I anticipate lifting the boil water notice later this afternoon.”
