FLINT, Mich. ― Mayor Weaver is excited to announce a generous donation from Nestle Waters.
“We have been in conversation with representatives at Nestle Waters and they have generously agreed to provide the three Help Centers in Flint with bottled water for the next several months,” said Weaver. “I want to thank Nestle for their willingness to help the people of Flint. I also want to thank everyone who had a hand in helping to make this a reality, Senator Jim Ananich and Jamie Gaskin and his team at the United Way of Genesee County.”
Nestle Waters has agreed to provide three semi-truck loads of water a week, which totals approximately 4,200 cases, or 100,000 bottles of water. Nestle will deliver the water directly to the three Help Centers located around Flint, which is where the water will also be distributed to Flint residents.
“I would also like to thank Kara Ross, Interim President of the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan and of course the organizers at the Help Centers for their continued efforts and commitment to help ensure that the residents of Flint have access to bottled water.
