FLINT, Mich. – Some lucky Flint kids were treated to a special screening of the new Claressa Shields biopic “The Fire Inside” on Christmas Eve by Mayor Sheldon Neeley and State Representative Cynthia Neeley.
Kids and parents gathered at the City of Flint Service Center on Clio Road where the MTA Trolley gave them a ride to the Cinemark Flint West 14 theater. About 25 kids and parents joined the viewing party.
Mayor Neeley said the exciting story about one of Flint’s own rising to the top of her field in boxing is an inspiration that he and Representative Neeley hope will have a lasting effect on the next generation of Flint heroes.
