Flint, MI– This summer the Flint Development Center launched a youth water testing program in partnership with Freshwater Future, Genesee County Hispanic Latino Collaborative, Flint Neighborhoods United, and University of Michigan Biological Station. More than 15 youth dedicated time this summer to not only learn about drinking water quality and testing, but to collect samples from residences, community centers and City Hall to evaluate the lead content with and without filter use.
“The Mackenzie Patrice Croom Community Lab” will serve as the first youth bio lab capable of testing water for the residents of Flint.
