City Officials Report A Peaceful ‘Angels Night’ in Flint

No major issues or destruction in the City the night before Halloween.

FLINT, Mich. – Flint City leaders are pleased with the overnight activities the night before Halloween this year. On what has in years past been a night with numerous fires and destruction, this October 30th was relatively quiet in Flint.

“You never know what to expect, so we prepare for the worst and hope for the best,” said Chief Theron Wiggins of the Flint Fire Department. “Our crews responded to about six fires, which were contained quickly. Nothing got out of control. Overall, it was a great 24-hour period in fire operations.”

“I want to thank the residents of the City of Flint for keeping a watchful eye out on Angel’s Night,” said Mayor Sheldon Neeley. “With the residents and Flint fire fighters on guard, devastation and destruction was prevented. We are looking forward to residents enjoying a safe night of family-friendly activities tonight as well.”

Official Trick-or-Treat times in the City of Flint are 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mayor Neeley invites everyone to join him and City of Flint staff at Flint City Hall from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. Kids (and parents) can Trick-or-Treat and check out the decorations in the lobby of city hall.
