Flint, Michigan – January 26, 2015 – The City of Flint has extended the deadline for its Water Quality Consultant Request for Proposal (RFP) to Thursday, January 29, 2015 by 12pm, in order to ensure that interested and qualified firms can submit comprehensive proposals. Proposals received by the deadline will undergo immediate review with a goal of finalists being selected by Monday, February 2, 2015. Final selection is anticipated by the week of February 9, 2015.
In the RFP, The City is seeking a consultant to review and evaluate the water treatment process and distribution system, provide recommendations to maintain compliance with both state and Federal agencies, and assist in implementing accepted recommendations. The City will have the selected vendor provide reports to reflect their findings and provide continual oversight in implementing any approved recommended practices to improve the quality of water until implementation of the KWA project.
