City of Flint and Unemployment Insurance Agency host event to help residents with unemployment claims

Flint, MI — The City of Flint and Mayor Sheldon Neeley are partnering with the Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency (UIA) to host a free community event to help residents get assistance with their unemployment insurance claims and have their questions answered by UIA staff.

The event will take place on October 28, 2024, from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the City of Flint Service Center, located at 4813 Clio Road, Flint.

This event is designed to help residents navigate unemployment insurance, including filing or resolving claims, understanding eligibility, and learning more about benefits. For faster service, attendees are encouraged to bring the following identification documents:

  • Michigan Driver’s License or State of Michigan ID card
  • Social Security card, birth certificate, or U.S. passport

In addition to UIA services, the Mobile Secretary of State Unit will be available on-site as well as representatives from the Veteran’s Service and Michigan Works.
