(Flint, Mich)— The 2018 seasonal program for curbside compost collection in the City of Flint will begin Monday, April 2. Compost material will be picked up every week, on residents’ regularly scheduled waste collection day.
To prepare items for collection, residents should place grass clippings, leaves, and weeds in either brown paper lawn and leaf bags, or an approved waste container. Brush and twigs must not exceed two inches in diameter, and not exceed four feet in length and should be tied with degradable rope. Compostable material containers must not weigh more than 50 pounds each.
Curbside compost collection in Flint will end for the season Friday, November 30, 2018.
