|FLINT MAYOR DAYNE WALLING WILL DELIVER 2014 STATE OF THE CITY ADDRESS ON MONDAY, MARCH 3 AT 3:00PM; THEME OF ADDRESS WILL BE A YEAR OF SERVICE AND ACTION|
Flint, Michigan – February 28, 2014 – City of Flint Mayor Dayne Walling will deliver the 2014 State of the City address Monday, March 3, 2014 at 3:00pm in the Flint City Council Chambers of City Hall. The theme of this year’s address will be: Year of Service and Action with a call to action for citizens and partners to assist with implementing the master plan. |
Topics areas addressed will include public safety, jobs, blight, infrastructure, governance, and finances. A number of new announcements about City of Flint programs such as Love Your City month in May will also be made.
“The actions of a few individuals can have a strong impact on addressing the issues we face as a city, but that impact can be multiplied when more residents and community leaders take an active role and get involved,” said Mayor Dayne Walling.
There will also be a citizen action fair following the address in the lobby of City Hall where citizens can get information on ways to volunteer and get involved in implementing the master plan
