EMERGENCY MANAGER MICHAEL BROWN FORMS ADVISORY COMMITTEE
Emergency Manager Michael Brown Forms Advisory Committee - The five member committee consists of elected officials and community members

Flint, Michigan - December 19, 2011 - City of Flint Emergency Manager Michael Brown announced today the formation of his five member advisory committee. The committee is comprised of two elected officials and three community members: Dayne Walling, Mayor, City of Flint; Delrico Loyd, Ward 1 Councilman, City of Flint; Kenyetta Dotson, Community Activist; Latrelle Holmes, Pastor, Greater Galilee Baptist Church; and Tim Herman, President and CEO, Genesee Regional Chamber Of Commerce.

Under the agreement with the State of Michigan, Mr. Brown has up to 30 days, after his appointment as Emergency Manager, to convene an advisory committee consisting of one representative of the City's elected officials, one representative of the Flint business community, one citizen of Flint and up to two more individuals with interest in and knowledge of the Flint community. The purpose of the group is to provide advice and counsel to Mr. Brown as he plans for the City's future growth, prosperity and financial solvency.
