NATIONAL NIGHT OUT CITY OF FLINT JOINS TARGET AND OTHERS TO HOST FREE ICE CREAM SOCIAL
City of Flint Joins Target and Others To Host Free Ice Cream Social and Other Family Fun Events In Recognition Of National Night Out
This free event will take place Tuesday August 2, 2011 from 3pm-7pm on the lawn of Flint City Hall

Flint, Michigan - August 2, 2011- The City of Flint along with the Flint Township Target Stores in collaboration with the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, Flint Police Athletic/Activities League, Flint Police Department, Flint Township Police Department, Flint Downtown District Weed & Seed Program, and the University of Michigan-Flint will host the 27th Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 2nd from 3-7 pm on the Flint City Hall front lawn.

The free event is designed to provide kids and parents with a fun night out and to heighten awareness of community resources available to help them lead safe and healthy lives. The event includes many community partners from social service agencies, education, health, and law enforcement. Ice cream, bounce houses, giveaways for school-age youth and drawings will also be part of the fun.

Target stores actively support law enforcement and criminal justice agencies to build stronger, safer and more vibrant communities across the country through programs such as
National Night Out.
